Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection & Usage

  • User Information: We collect basic information (name, email, phone number) when you create an account or register for an event.
  • Purpose: This data is used solely to facilitate event registrations, deliver digital tickets, and send essential event updates. We do not sell your personal data to third parties

2. Guest Accreditation & QR Data

  • Accreditation Records: For events requiring formal accreditation, we store the guest data (names, categories, or IDs) provided by the Organizer. This data is used exclusively to generate unique QR codes for secure entry
  • Live Check-in Analytics: When a QR code is scanned at a venue, SEAD Events records the timestamp of arrival and the scanning device ID. This allows Organizers to track attendance and prevent duplicate entries.
  • Data Encryption: All guest lists and accreditation details are encrypted. Access to this data is restricted to the Event Organizer and authorized SEAD Events technical staff for support purposes only.

3. Data Sharing & Security

  • Organizer Access: By registering for an event, guests acknowledge that their registration data and check-in status will be shared with the specific Event Organizer for post-event reporting.
  • Financial Security All ticket payments are processed through secure, industry-standard gateways (e.g., Paystack/Flutterwave). SEAD Events does not store your credit or debit card details on our servers.
  • Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our community guidelines, engage in suspicious activity, or breach these terms.

4. Retention & Your Rights

  • Data Retention: We retain event data for as long as necessary to provide reports to the Organizer. Once an event cycle is complete, sensitive accreditation data can be archived or deleted upon request.
  • Your Rights: Users and guests have the right to access their data, request corrections, or ask for their personal information to be deleted from our active databases by contacting support@sead.africa.
  • Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our community guidelines, engage in suspicious activity, or breach these terms.

5. On-Site Operations & Access Control

  • Check-in Device & Connectivity: While SEAD Events provides the check-in software, the Organizer is responsible for providing the hardware (smartphones/tablets) and a stable internet connection at the venue to ensure real-time synchronization of guest arrivals.
  • Access Control Power: SEAD Events provides the technology for validation, but the final decision to admit or deny entry to any individual remains the sole responsibility of the Event Organizer or their security team.
